You download co-ordinates of a cache you want to search for and off you go.

Caches can be found in cities, towns, forests, beaches just about anywhere someone can think of hiding them.

The cache itself usually contains small toys, promotional items, useful items or them based collections.

The excitement is not really based on what is in the cache but the ability to find it using your GPS and searching skills.

There are over 973,000 caches hidden worldwide and an estimated 3-4 million geocachers.
